The United Nations Food & Agricultural organisation had a problem - no one cared about the Drylands. They look like deserts, but aren't. They're rich in resources, but sensitive to global warming and other factors, which means that every day hectares succumb to desertification. 2 billion people rely on these areas to live. Imagine what will happen to them if they are destroyed. This video was shot in a Drylands region just outside of Limpopo and was used at the UN Summit to get the Drylands on the agenda.
