2 billion care
The United Nations Food & Agricultural organisation had a problem - no one cared about the Drylands. I'm going to guess that that is the first time you've heard the word, which is why you may have never cared about them either. The drylands look a bit like deserts, but they aren't. They're rich in resources, but sensitive to global warming and other factors, which means that every day hectares succumb to desertification. 2 billion people rely on these areas to live. Image what will happen to them if they are destroyed. This video was shot in a Drylands region just outside of Limpopo and was used at the UN Summit to get the Drylands on the agenda.
